Orange Grove is a very scenic, historical fifth generation Karoo farm 8km from Cradock. The terrain varies from high mountain plateaus that are snow capped in Winter, to thick wooded valleys where the Kudu thrive. My name is Tracey, I came to the Karoo to live with Toby on the farm a few years ago and am loving every moment.
Our primary objective on the farm is to develop an Eco-tourism venture that encompasses all the magnificent opportunities that Orange Grove has to offer. From viewing San paintings, fossils, flora and fauna hikes to visiting Olive Schreiner’s grave site or simply unwinding in an isolated stone cottage…these are just a few things this Karoo farm stay has to offer.
Our aim with this blog is to connect with like-minded people. Toby is a Professional Hunter, part time poet and natural DIY Boer Maak ‘n Plan type. I am a novice gardener, amateur photographer, animal lover and half decent cook. We share a passion for good food, sustainable living and wide open spaces.
